Cincinnati Beats Cleveland, 7-6
Despite a great performance by Cleveland right fielder Sherry Doyal, the Cincinnati Cannons defeated the Foresters by the score of 7-6 at Forester Stadium. Doyal went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. The win went to Wally Hunter in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Rufus Barrell II took the loss. The win for the Cannons raised their record to 63-56.

Cincinnati catcher Art McKinney contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 101st hit of the season and put the Cannons ahead, 7-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," McKinney told the Cincinnati Herald. "It's as simple as that."
