| Hoskinson Brilliant as Dynamos Top Chiefs, 1-0 | Detroit got a first-rate effort from pitcher Johnny Hoskinson, who frustrated Chicago hitters en route to a 1-0 Dynamos triumph at Whitney Park. Jack Vander Kooi finished the game for Detroit and earned his 1st save. The last-place Dynamos go to 51-88.
Hoskinson dominated for Detroit, raising his record to 9-11. Chicago hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 3.
"The most important thing is that we won," Hoskinson said.
