Gene Case made an impact in the 7-3 Chicago win over Cleveland. Case, who is tied for 6th in the CA with a .955 OPS, slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Cleveland's current losing streak is now 4 games.

In the bottom of the first, Case had a 2-run home run for Chicago. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Cougars on top, 2-0.
