Cincinnati Triumphs with Late Surge
The Cincinnati Cannons got a rain-soaked win over the Milwaukee Arrows.

Cincinnati Cannons starter Wally Fields pitched his team past the Milwaukee Arrows, 3-2. Cincinnati reliever Earl White snagged the win, upping his record to 5-10. Jim Hart shouldered the loss.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Tony Nino in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Hart to win it for Cincinnati and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Fields.

The 'W' lifts Cincinnati's record to 69-67.
