Gothams Rally Late to Nip Minutemen
The New York Gothams downed the Boston Minutemen, 5-4, in 13 innings at Gotham Stadium. The Gothams were led by Fred Davis. Davis went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winner was Johnnie Laufenberg in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ken West took the loss. The second-place Gothams now sit at 79-58.

The Gothams got a clutch hit from right fielder Dode Caudill. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Gothams.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Davis.
