Bob Allie left his imprint on the 4-3 Cleveland win against the New York Imperials. Allie was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Johnny Ogden earned his 23rd save in 29 chances. Cleveland now has a record of 66-52 with the win.

Allie had a timely hit for Cleveland in the bottom of the seventh. With Cleveland trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-0 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 4-3, Cleveland.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New York skipper Ed Ziehl.
