Eagles Get Clutch Win Versus Pittsburgh
In a low-scoring contest between the Washington Eagles and the Pittsburgh Miners, 33-year old right-handed pitcher Frankie Raymond proved to be the difference. The Washington right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Eagles win. The third-place Eagles are 84-52.

Tom Lorang was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eagles second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I got in a good groove," said Raymond. "I was getting some swings and misses."
