| Washington Collects 5-2 Win | Washington took on Philadelphia in front of a lively crowd.
The Washington Eagles topped the Philadelphia Keystones, 5-2, in Federal Association action at Columbia Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Washington pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Eddie Yandow. Yandow picked up the win for Washington, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 12-11.
Charlie Cullison had a chance to do some damage in the top of the ninth. With Philadelphia trailing 5-2, Philadelphia had runners on 1st and 2nd. But Cullison flied out.
