| Foresters Lose Late, 9-5 | The Dallas Wranglers trumped the Cleveland Foresters, 9-5, at Norris Stadium. Dallas center fielder Roy Johnson was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Dallas reliever Asbury Ashmore picked up the win, upping his record to 7-6. Charlie Sawyer was saddled with the loss. Dallas now sports a record of 76-58.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Johnson delivered big-time for Dallas, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Charlie Sawyer. The game-changing hit put the Wranglers on top, 6-5.
