Wranglers Run Win Streak to 8
The Dallas Wranglers besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Cincinnati center fielder Dallas Berry by beating the Cannons, 12-7, at Norris Stadium. Berry went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The 9th-place Wranglers have won 8 in a row.

The Wranglers got a big hit from first baseman Ken Hudson. Facing Cincinnati pitcher Wally Hunter in the bottom of the sixth, Hudson pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 16th home run of the season put the Wranglers ahead, 11-3.

"It never gets old," said Hudson. "Winning, that is."
