| Cannons Win 1-0 Nail-Biter Versus Cougars | The Chicago Cougars went down to defeat to Herm Quinn and his Cincinnati teammates. The final score was 1-0, Cannons, in 11 innings. At 62-74, the Cannons claim 5th place in the Continental Association East.
The Cannons got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Earl Johnson. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Cannons.
"The old adage is true," said Johnson. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
