| Ellis Lifts Cougars to Win | Roy Ellis, who finished 5th in the CA in strikeouts with 139 last year, was terrific for the Chicago Cougars in his team's 8-1 triumph over the New York Imperials. Ellis picked up the win, and it was well-deserved. With the win, the Cougars sit at 60-48.
Chicago starter Roy Ellis was masterful. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 9 innings.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Ellis.
