| Millers Deal Clippers 3-1 Loss | In a tight tilt between the Minneapolis Millers and the Baltimore Clippers, Hank Wagner was the deciding factor. The Minneapolis right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The third-place Clippers now sit at 61-71.
Bill Powell, who is tied for 10th in the FA with a .875 OPS, had a direct impact on the outcome. Powell contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Minneapolis up, 1-0.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Wagner. | |
