| Clippers Losers, 9-0, Versus Los Angeles | The Los Angeles Suns went home winners at Wilshire Park, thanks in large part to starter Jim Place. Place stifled the Baltimore Clippers, enabling Los Angeles to grab the 9-0 win. Los Angeles's record now stands at 75-59, placing them first in the Federal Association West.
The Suns got a lift from center fielder Harry Dellinger, who in the bottom of the second stroked a 1-0 sinker to center for a run-scoring single. It was his 106th hit of the season and put the Suns ahead, 2-0.
"What a dismal performance," lamented losing manager Hank Luckenbaugh.
