| Imperials Beat Stars, 3-1 | The New York Imperials topped the Los Angeles Stars, 3-1, in Continental Association action at Bigsby Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and New Orleans, Louisiana, native Emmett Thornton. The 4th-place Imperials go to 64-67.
The Imperials benefited from a costly error in the top of the eighth. With Dale Raz at bat and New York leading 2-1, the Los Angeles miscue allowed New York to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Thornton.
