Sailors Nip Arrows, 2-1
The San Francisco Sailors picked up a win at Golden Gate Stadium, topping the Milwaukee Arrows, 2-1. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Jim Teal. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Sailors improved their record to 61-71 by beating Milwaukee.

San Francisco took a 2-1 lead on Harry Myers's 18th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Myers hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Milwaukee pitcher Tex Cavanaugh visibly frustrated.

"Jim just settled in and did what he does," said San Francisco manager Bob Harris.
