Cannons Suffer Blowout Loss to Kings
The Kansas City Kings stopped the Cincinnati Cannons, 11-0, at Tice Memorial Stadium II. The Kings got a big game from Pat Davis, who was 4-6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Kansas City pitcher Elmer Sullivan got the win, upping his record to 5-4. Jimmy Block got the loss. Kansas City now has a record of 59-42 with the win.

Al Farmer had a big 3-run home run for the Kings in the top of the first inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Jimmy Block and punished it. The result was his 17th home run of the season, which put the Kings on top, 4-0.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Kings manager Glenn Carney.
