| Cleveland Downed, 2-0, by Cougars | The Cleveland Foresters wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Bill Harris, falling, 2-0, to the Chicago Cougars at Forester Stadium. The win was credited to Jim Norris in relief. His record improves to 6-12. Charlie Sawyer took the loss. The 'W' lifts Chicago's record to 58-75.
Bill Grimm had the most critical at-bat for Chicago. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Grimm hit a 3-1 sinker from Charlie Sawyer for a 2-run single. It put Chicago in front, 2-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Grimm.
