| Minutemen 6-3 Winners Versus Detroit | The Boston Minutemen beat the Detroit Dynamos, 6-3, at Minuteman Stadium. Ed Cole was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 31-year old catcher was a menace to Detroit all day. The win puts Boston at 48-78.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Cole hit a 3-run home run off Pedro Castro. It propelled the Minutemen into the lead, 4-1.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Minutemen manager Dode Edwards. "This one was nice to get."
