In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, 25-year old third baseman Leon Stapleton won it for Philadelphia. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Stapleton hit a 1-0 fastball from Ben Baird for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.
