| White Paces Cougars to 4-1 Win | Pug White, who finished 5th in the CA in strikeouts with 166 in 1965, was locked in. The left-hander led the Chicago Cougars to a 4-1 win against the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium. At 57-74, the Cougars are currently 5th in the Continental Association West.
White, the grizzled veteran, threw 9 quality innings, limiting the opposition to 4 hits and 1 run. With the win, White moves to 11-11 on the year with 88 strikeouts.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said White.
