Edwards Homers Twice in 9-4 Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Milwaukee Arrows and Chicago Cougars.

A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Harry Edwards, who is tied for 2nd in the CA with a .528 slugging percentage, led the Milwaukee Arrows to a win over the Chicago Cougars, 9-4. The winning pitcher was Red Burtch. He's now 12-3. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits for the Arrows.

The Cougars had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Arrows going into the top of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old second baseman Rich Moyer came to the plate. Moyer hit a bases-clearing double on a 1-0 screwball from Chicago hurler Augie Hicks. It was Moyer's 23rd double of the year.

"We took home the win," said Moyer. "What's not to like?"

The first-place Arrows improved to 70-58.
