| Jones Now 14-6 After Beating Clippers | Detroit pitcher Joe Jones had a large part in his team subduing the Baltimore Clippers, 5-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. With the win, Detroit pushed its record to 66-62.
Jones, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, threw 108 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing no runs.
"Nice win for us," said Jones. "Now we'll go after the next one." | |
