| Cincinnati Rallies to 8-6 Win | Bud Cormier impressed in the 8-6 Cincinnati win over Seattle. Cormier, who finished 5th in the CA in triples with 7 in 1972, went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With this game in the books, Cincinnati is 66-60, Seattle 77-50.
Cincinnati used a timely hit from fan favorite Billy West to get the win. The left fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cannons on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
"Good win for us," said Cormier. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
