Boston Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in WCS
The Boston Minutemen got a strong performance from pitcher Foster Sherman, who stymied the visiting Cleveland Foresters en route to a win, 6-3, in Game 3 of the World Championship Series. The Foresters could never get a bead on the right-handed Sherman, who threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The Minutemen now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Making an impact for Boston was catcher Sam Walker. He drilled a run-scoring double off Rufus Barrell II in the bottom of the second. For the game, Walker was 1-3 with a double and a walk.

Foresters manager Jim Whitehead did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Championship Series."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minuteman Stadium in Boston.
