Jackson Dominant in Detroit Win | The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
Detroit Dynamos pitcher John Jackson was in top form, leading his team past the Pittsburgh Miners, 5-1. The Dynamos, now 7-1, have stormed out of the gates.
Jackson, the winner, is now 2-0. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 5 hits, while collecting 4 Ks. He essentially shut down the Pittsburgh offense.
