Howe Excels in 12-3 Cleveland Win
The Cleveland Foresters handed the New York Imperials a sound defeat, 12-3, at Forester Stadium. Earl Howe was a main contributor to the win. He was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for Cleveland. Sonny Stoyer got the win, improving to 4-1. He pitched 8.1 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. New York's current losing streak is now 7 games.

Tom Carr had a big bases-clearing triple for the Foresters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cleveland leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Frank Williams, who is tied for 8th in the CA in wins with 4, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Foresters ahead, 6-2.

"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said Howe.
