Chicago Victorious, 5-4, Versus Seattle
In a tight contest at Cougars Park, the Chicago Cougars edged the Seattle Kings by the score of 5-4. Chicago first baseman Gene Homer, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Jim Norris recorded the save, his 7th. The Cougars improved their record to 17-18 with the win over Seattle.

With Chicago leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Homer hit a slider from Charlie Rushing for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 5-2.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Seattle manager Alex Watt said, following the tough loss.
