| Los Angeles Absorbs 6-4 Loss to Toronto | The Toronto Wolves beat the Los Angeles Stars, 6-4, at Dominion Stadium. Toronto shortstop Clyde Bradshaw led the way. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Gary Preston got the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The loss puts Los Angeles at 16-18.
In the bottom of the sixth, Toronto first baseman Bob Reynolds had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Reynolds stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 6-3, Toronto. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Reynolds told the Toronto Herald.
