Madden Silences Philadelphia, 8-0 | In an excellent mound performance, Steve Madden of the St. Louis Pioneers blanked the Philadelphia Keystones, 8-0, on a 7-hitter.
"I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game.
In all, the St. Louis hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and 4 walks in the shutout win.
"We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Keystones manager Don Fox. "Madden did a good job keeping us guessing."
To this point in the season, Madden shows a 8-4 record, 16 starts, 126 innings, 74 strikeouts and a 3.14 ERA. | |
