| Arrows Use Late Push to Top Cannons | Riding the 2-hit performance of the slugging right fielder Jim Stogner, the Milwaukee Arrows defeated the Cincinnati Cannons, 8-2. Milwaukee pitcher Jim Hart got the win, upping his record to 4-3. Earl White got the loss. Bud Andrews picked up his 4th save of the season.
Paul Burkley, who finished 2nd in the CA in triples with 9 last year, helped out the Milwaukee cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Very good win for our guys," said Burkley.
