| Pioneers Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel | Starting pitcher Lloyd Henson took care of business, helping the St. Louis Pioneers stifle the Philadelphia Keystones, 1-0. The save went to Roy McDonald, number 7 for him. With the win, the Pioneers are 10-23.
St. Louis right fielder Quinton Vincent contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Pioneers ahead, 1-0.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Henson. | |
