| Burkholder Shackles Montreal | Kid Burkholder was in a mood to talk following the Chicago Chiefs contest against the Montreal Saints, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Saints, 2-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Burkholder said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Montreal on a 5-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 4 strikeouts.
To date this year, Burkholder shows a 12-5 record, 18 starts, 148.2 innings, 69 strikeouts and a 1.51 ERA. | | | | | |
