The Seattle Kings beat the Toronto Wolves, 7-6, in part because of left fielder Mike Griffith. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The hot start continues for the defending champion Kings. This was their 22nd win in 32 games.

Seattle used a well-timed hit by Ben Baker to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kings ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Baker said.
