| Slumping Wranglers Lose 11th Straight | Getting an impressive start from Fred Smith, Milwaukee beat Dallas by the score of 5-1. The winner was Smith. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Larry Perry. The Arrows, now 19-9, have been red hot.
Milwaukee took a 5-1 lead on Tom Gerke's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Gerke hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Asbury Ashmore visibly frustrated.
"We've got to kick it in gear soon," said Dallas manager Vic Kramer. | |
