Minutemen Come Back Late to Clip Copperheads
Atlanta got a valiant performance from pitcher Howie Burt, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Minutemen. Boston won the game, 4-3. Burt threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Boston reliever Paul Sullivan snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Buddy Thomas shouldered the loss. With the loss, Atlanta is 19-11.

The decisive blow was delivered by Buddy Miller in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Buddy Thomas to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's good to win," Miller told the Boston Today. "I like to have fun doing it."
