Keystones Top Suns, 6-5
Despite a great performance by Los Angeles catcher Stan Czerwinski, the Philadelphia Keystones defeated the Suns by the score of 6-5 in 13 innings at Wilshire Park. Czerwinski went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Sam Ivey came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. The save went to Charlie Rushing, number 9 for him.

Philadelphia used a timely hit from Bill Del Vecchio to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Keystones ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Los Angeles manager Bill Morrill.

The losses continue to mount for Los Angeles, which has now dropped 9 in a row.
