The Chicago Chiefs topped the New York Gothams by a score of 4-3. Leading the way was shortstop Tom Spruill. Spruill went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk for the Chiefs. Chicago reliever Dutch Lane was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Bill Howard. The Gothams, at 15-21, have lost 5 straight games.
