Ray Waggoner had a big 2-run home run for the Dynamos in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Detroit trailing 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from John Stallings, who is a three-time All-Star, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Dynamos on top, 2-1.
"Larry is a tough competitor," said Detroit manager Verlin Alexander.
The second-place Dynamos have won 5 straight games.
