Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Toronto Wolves and Cleveland Foresters.

Cleveland wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Dick Couture, falling to the Toronto Wolves, 4-2. Couture threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. The loss drops the Foresters to 12-15.

Toronto took a 3-2 lead on Jackie Daniels's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Daniels hit in the top of the ninth, left Cleveland pitcher Bob V James visibly frustrated.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Daniels. "But I have better dreams after a win."
