| Gothams, Arndt Blast Pioneers, 12-1 | The New York Gothams marched over the St. Louis Pioneers, 12-1, at Gotham Stadium. Bill Arndt, who leads the FA in extra base hits with 15, led the charge. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Pioneers fall to 9-23 and continue their unimpressive start to the 1975 season.
With New York leading 6-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Arndt came up to bat against St. Louis pitcher Milo Kennedy. Arndt hit a fastball to center for a bases-clearing double. His 12th double of the season put the Gothams on top, 9-1.
"It never gets old," said Arndt. "Winning, that is."
