In a low-scoring contest between the Atlanta Copperheads and the Los Angeles Suns, Marco Middleton was the X factor. The Atlanta right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The loss drops Los Angeles to 19-12.

The Copperheads got a clutch hit from first baseman John Moreland. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Copperheads.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Los Angeles skipper Jim Coulter.
