Los Angeles Suns pitcher Bob Hinzman was in fine form, leading his team past the Atlanta Copperheads, 3-0. The triumph makes Los Angeles 19-11, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 1975.

Had Bill Perry not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Perry hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Suns.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Hinzman.
