| Keystones Fell Chiefs, 4-1 | The Philadelphia Keystones got a strong performance from pitcher Joe Quade, who stymied the Chicago offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Broad Street Park II. Quade, the winner, moves to 2-6. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 8 walks. Philadelphia has now won 4 games in a row.
Philadelphia second baseman Billy Woytek contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider into right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Keystones ahead, 2-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Philadelphia manager Carl Ames.
