Washington Gets 2-1 Win Versus Philadelphia in 10 | The Washington Eagles snuck past the Philadelphia Keystones, 2-1, in 10 innings. Washington pitcher Otto Caudill, in particular, had a standout performance. Reliever Foster Sherman picked up the win. His record improves to 5-9. Sam Ivey, who is a two-time All-Star, took the loss. Washington, at 34-35, sits in 5th place in the Federal Association.
Al Marino had a direct impact on the outcome. Marino contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Washington up, 2-1.
