5 Straight Wins for Foresters
The Cleveland Foresters grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Chicago Cougars at Cougars Park. Cleveland right fielder Paul Williams went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Earning his 1st save of the year was Sonny Stoyer. The Foresters lead the Continental Association by 4 games.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Gary Romeo to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Foresters on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Williams. "I just want to win ballgames."
