Harry Dellinger had a good game, but he could not keep the Philadelphia Keystones from falling, 4-3, to the Pittsburgh Miners at Fitzpatrick Park. The Philadelphia center fielder slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. The loss drops the Keystones to 2-6.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, former first round draft pick Gale Schmitt had a real shot to win the game. Philadelphia pitcher Don McKeown was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Schmitt hit a run-scoring single. The Miners had a walk-off triumph.

Schmitt attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
