Jim Roseman never let Detroit get something going. The Baltimore left-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Cannons to a 3-1 win. Roseman, the winner, moves to 8-6. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Joe Bates, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Honus Gessinger had a game-changing hit. The Cannons first baseman slammed a 2-run single off John Humphreys, making the score 2-1, Baltimore.
