Ray Gets 5 Hits
The Baltimore Clippers might think twice next time about pitching to Walt Ray.

At Clipper Park, the Montreal Saints right fielder burned Baltimore pitching, going 5-for-6 in the 14-4 Montreal triumph.

"When he's on his game," Montreal skipper Bob DeVilbiss told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."

Walt Ray hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

For the season, Ray is batting .328 with 119 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 49 times and batted in 71.
