| Los Angeles Drops Chicago, 5-3 | The Los Angeles Stars picked up a win at Cougars Park, downing the Chicago Cougars, 5-3. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander George Dunnigan, who played a pivotal role in the win. Chicago, with the loss, is still a robust 5-2.
Los Angeles second baseman Bill Bell helped the Stars go up, 4-3, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Bell hit a run-scoring single off Chicago pitcher Manny Espinosa.
