The rain did not keep Cincinnati and Los Angeles from finishing their game.

Getting offensive support from Joe Case, the Cincinnati Cannons topped the Los Angeles Stars, 10-7. Case was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs for the Cannons. The winner was Hal Adams in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ted Ferguson took the loss.

Milt Senecal was 1 for 3 with a walk for Cincinnati. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ted Ferguson. It was his 3rd walk of the season.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Cincinnati manager Hal Upton.

The defeat makes Los Angeles 3-5.
