| Kings Win at Home, 3-1 | Kings County Park was the site of a tense game between the Chicago Chiefs and Brooklyn Kings.
Brooklyn starter John Taddeo kept the Chicago offense from doing much damage. The left-hander leaned on his curveball in leading the Kings to a 3-1 win. Taddeo picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-6.
Brooklyn left fielder Manny Rosales helped the Kings go up, 2-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rosales hit a 2-run single off Chicago pitcher Jack Beckwith.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Chicago manager Willie Cadden.
Brooklyn is now 29-31, Chicago 36-26.
