Behind a solid performance from second baseman Moe Davis, the Baltimore Cannons defeated the Chicago Cougars, 9-6. Davis went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Cannons. The loss makes Chicago 89-47.

Hub Hancock, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1927 draft, aided the Baltimore cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the first. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Cannons manager Ossie Julious. "This one was nice to get."
