| Kings Get Extra-Inning, 3-2 Win | Prairie Park played host to some high drama.
The Kansas City Kings beat the Montreal Saints, 3-2, in 10 innings. Kansas City pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Allie Boone led the way. Kansas City pitcher Henry Henderson earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Gene Faulkenberry suffered the loss.
The Kings got a clutch hit from third baseman Ken Newman. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Kings.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kansas City manager Glenn Carney.
Kansas City, with the win, is 5-2.
