| Stars Solve Beavers, 4-2 | New York parlayed a decent outing from starter Ray Cox into a solid win over the Toronto Beavers. The final score was 4-2. John Rubin picked up the save, his 1st. Today's win puts New York at 27-30, while Toronto falls to 30-26.
New York used the timely hitting of Alex Harris to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Said losing manager Máximo Rios: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
