Mechanics Sneak By Cannons, 2-1
Well, that's how to end a game in style.

The Pittsburgh Mechanics rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Leroy Budimir to a win, beating the Baltimore Cannons, 2-1, at Cocker Park. With the win, the Mechanics sit at 31-25.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 30-year old right fielder Dobie Barton had a real shot to win the game. Baltimore pitcher Harry Petrie was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Barton hit a run-scoring single. The Mechanics had a walk-off triumph.

"Exhilarating win," said Barton.
